Tonghua Dongbao wins the Best Public Service Award in the 10th Chinese Listed Companies Forum

On June 27, Tonghua Dongbao was announced as the winner of the Best Public Service Award in the 10th Chinese Listed Companies Forum.
The Forum was co-sponsored by the Shanghai Committee of China National Democratic Construction Association, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, and AllBright Law Offices, with a theme of developing new technology and pattern in the new era. More than 500 guests, including government officials, renowned economists at home and abroad, and representatives of listed and pre-IPO companies, attended the Forum to discuss the capital market development in the new era.
The organizer announced the winners of 12 innovation awards, 7 public service awards, and 24 excellent board secretary awards, who were determined based on professional and authentic data evaluations, industrial rankings, and expert opinions, following the principles of openness and fairness. This award is a recognition of Tonghua Dongbao’s contribution to public service. As a follower of the national healthcare strategy, the Company is also an active participant in Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, the board members and all employees of the Company have devoted joint efforts to epidemic prevention and control. The Company donated RMB 22 million worth of medications and RMB 4 million in cash.
Over the years, Tonghua Dongbao has taken an active part in healthcare philanthropy. The Company has donated more than RMB 30 million in total to the community-based diabetes prevention and treatment program of Bethune Charitable Foundation (BCF), and 2020 is the seventh year in a row that the Company has extended support to the program. It has also donated nearly RMB 30 million through BCF to the program - Exploration and Evaluation of Graded Diabetes Treatment Model in China (Roadmap Study) - of the Diabetes Prevention and Treatment Office under the guidance of the National Health and Family Planning Commission. Since 2010, the Company has been organizing the Blue Light campaign on the World Diabetes Day every year to unite all sectors of society to promote diabetes education.
